Amidst all the cacophony about the fracas in Australia, the inimitable Anil Dharker has come up with some succinct analysis as to why was Bucknor biased against India.
He says it is mainly due to two reasons.
Firstly, the West Indian was intimidated by the bullying tactics ( repeated appealing) of Ponting and co. Bullying generally works. Anyway it worked with Bucknor. I guess he is not made of sterner stuff. All the more reason to remove him from the elite panel of elite umpires.
Secondly, Dharker says that blacks (Bucknor is black) have a dislike for the browns (meaning us poor souls from South Asia). Think about the Indians suffering in African countries. So we face racial attacks from both the whites and blacks.
